Just The Beginning

Well, the time has come. We all knew it was going to happen. Cal can't leave his bikes alone. So, he's gathered a pile of parts to start chopping the shovel....
Well, here's the scoop. I feel like I'm picking up where I left off with my Sportster. The one ultimate goal I had is to come as close as I can to what my ol'man's shovel was back in the day. No permant damage here, I really don't think I'll be raking the neck. Just 4" over tubes, 11" shocks and the rest of the parts you see here.
The sporty drum isn't something my ol'man had but I want to use. I was originally going to use it on my Sportster but we all know that fell through. Huge thanks to Ken for lacing it up for me and thanks for the fender and headers.
Chris! Thanks for the tailight! The sissybar was another one made on my lunch brake, 9/16 stainless rod. It will be sanded and polished once the new fender strut brackets are made.
The aftermarket 3.5 tanks were hanging on my dad's wall, I figured I'd try them.

More to come. My goal is to have this thing rolling again by next weekend. It may not be pretty but it will be on it's wheels again. The winter will bring about more improvements but lets not think about winter!!!

  1. Unreal Cap'n, bring it on . . . one door closes and another opens, the karmic journey always has a purpose.
